Hello everyone,
My name is Pam, although most people know me as Pammie, and I’m really pleased to be running the Village Hall 100+ Club. Having nearly completed my first year as organiser, I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself. I know it has taken me a little while!
I have taken over from Carol Newton, who, along with her husband, did a wonderful job of running the 100+ Club so successfully for many, many years. I am very grateful for all their hard work and dedication. Please bear with me as I continue to get to grips with the system, meet everyone involved, and do my best to support the Village Hall and help it continue to thrive.

I have lived in the village for around 26 years now, which probably still makes me a relative newcomer in village terms! I live here with my husband Steve, our two sons Miles and Jacob, along with our dogs, cats, chickens, and many sheep. We run an agricultural fencing and forestry contracting business, as well as farming a flock of around 400 ewes just on the outskirts of the village.
Like many of you, I know how busy life can be. There is never a dull moment on the farm. But I can honestly say that an evening at the Village Hall, socialising, relaxing, and getting to know your neighbours, is always worth making time for.

Over the years, I have been lucky enough to attend and support many events at our Village Hall, and I have also helped initiate some of its most successful ones. It really is a hall that offers so much, not least its fantastic kitchen. That kitchen helped make the ‘Bradley Green Big Breakfast’ such a success for many years, raising thousands of pounds over nine years for local charities, including the Air Ambulance, which always received 50% of the proceeds. It is a service that is invaluable to our rural community.
The 100+ Club is a simple and enjoyable way to support the Village Hall, while also giving members the chance to win one of four prizes each month:
1st prize: £50
2nd prize: £30
3rd prize: £20
4th prize: a hot drink and cake
All profits from 100+ Club memberships and annual social events go directly towards the maintenance and improvement of the Village Hall.
I think you will agree that the hall is looking wonderful, and with continued support, it can keep going from strength to strength.
We would love to welcome more members — let’s make it a 200 Club! Multiple memberships from the same household are always very welcome too.
